Mr. M. G. Bharathkumar set out on his journey in the field of education with the establishment of his “Mahendra Educational Trust” in the year 1978. It was a very modest beginning that the trust started a school for the rural children in the nondescript village of Kalippatti in Namakkal district.
As parents believed in and appreciated the kind of schooling, the thatched shed branched into permanent infrastructure with more children flocking around. Having understood the higher education need of the rural youth, the trust established higher education institutions as well as teacher training colleges in the course of time. Very soon, Mahendra evolved into a reputed brand known for quality education at affordable cost.
